Song Spotlight: Tomo - le poisson steve

He’s no small fry! Join us as we unpack the internet’s latest orange sensation, ‘le poisson steve’.

Appearing all over our FYP, ‘le poisson steve’ is an incredibly catchy, earworm chiptune created by French musician Tomo, accompanied by an animated video by illustrator, Vigz. Its playful lyrics and animation are simplistic, detailing his physical appearance: “Il est orange, Il a des bras, et des jambes”, and showing him confidently strutting.

Gaining viral popularity on TikTok, ‘le poisson steve’ has become a meme, with other users going on to create dance routines, fan art, plushies and remixes of the charming orange fish humanoid.

There’s plenty of fish in the sea, but there’s none quite like Steve, and we can’t stop singing this infectious tune on repeat!
